On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”
“What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
“You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”--Luke 10:25-37
This is very familiar Scripture, you don't even have to be a church goer to know the story of "the Good Samaritan" This is probably, next to the story of Jesus, one of the most familiar stories of the Bible. We have all heard of someone referred to as a "Good Samaritan" and we all like to think that we too would get down into the ditch, as opposed to walking right by, like the religious people.
I love being in the ditch ministering to those that addiction has robbed and left half dead...it's the place that I love to be. You see "The Good Samaritan" walked by one day and rescued me from that ditch, and He told me to "go and do likewise." So that is what I do; I am a ditch dweller.
It's a very dirty job, one too dirty for even Mike Rowe (host of Dirty Jobs), but it's the most rewarding thing one can do. It can become very expensive as you apply your own oil, give of your wine, and pay out of your pocket for their needs; not to mention the time, prayer, and tears you invest. But the payday is eternal--
I am also very protective of those that are still in the ditch. I want to bring love, life, and freedom to them and I despise "Pharisee's who want to "March" by in the name of religion, condemning them because of their wounds. I will not stand by and allow religious "priests and levites" to beat the already broken people with their Bibles, and shout religious obscenities at them!
I will be an advocate for the addict, the alcoholic, the person who has been beaten and left half dead by life and circumstances. Jesus was my Advocate, and I am supposed to be Christ-like, that is after all what Christian means. Please don't judge all Christians by the Pharisees "marching and picketing" Remember the Priest and the Levite "marched" right by the man in the ditch...but Jesus (The Good Samaritan) stopped and got dirty. WE have to love people right where they're at, and it's the love of Christ that will bring healing and deliverance--
It's time to STOP all this religious nonsense and get down in the ditch...It's a dirty job, but JESUS did it why can't we?
You might be wondering why I wrote this...Recently I was in a meeting with other Christians and we were discussing the drug problem, and what we could do to combat it. (((hello, Dying to Live Ministries))) A "march" against drugs seemed to be the solution, but it quickly turned into a march against drug addicts and drug dealers. I politely stood up and said, "I won't be a part of this" and left.
You see I have seen WAY too many drug addicts and drug dealers come out of that ditch and become MIGHTY men and women of God, and they came out because we brought Jesus into the ditch and loved them as He would. Join me! Let's get in the ditch--The Pharisees can "MARCH" right on by.

....I remember
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." John 14:1-3
These verses have brought comfort to me on entirely too many occasions...I know that my loved ones are in a much better place, and that gets me through the tough times; the times I remember...
I remember lying in bed, sound asleep, when I received the call that Zac had been in a car accident. I jumped to my feet and flew to the hospital, praying and weeping! I remember, gathering myself and cleaning my face, trying to be strong as his family fell apart...I remember his casket was placed in the very spot at the altar where he stood exactly one month before... I remember---
I remember the morning I received a devastating phone call--"Daniel was in a car accident, and he didn't make it"---I screamed and fell to my knees, weeping. Then my phone rang again, it was Becky, Daniel's Mom, she said, "I need you!" I gathered myself, cleaned my face and flew to the hospital! I remember trying to be strong while his family fell apart. I remember ever word I said the day of his funeral....I remember---

I remember thinking my God, I can't handle this.... I wanted to just curl up and stop, I somehow felt responsible, like I had failed somehow. Then I remembered...
I remember watching Zac Ainsworth run to the altar one night with his hands straight up reaching to the heavens, tears streaming down his face, as he came home to the Father. It was breathtaking to say the least! I remember calling to tell Denisea, his Mom, who had been sick with worry, and who had prayed countless hours, and cried rivers of tears...I REMEMBER!!!
I remember talking with a nervous young man named Daniel Bailey who had been "talked into" coming to an encounter weekend by his former sister-in-law; he wasn't real sure about all this church stuff. As he sat through the different services I watched God break down a wall, and before Daniel knew what had happened he was lying on the floor weeping, and crying out to God! It was a miraculous moment, like nothing I had ever seen...Daniel on the floor being wrapped up in God's Holy Spirit...I REMEMBER!!!
THANK GOD!!! I REMEMBER!!!
Welcome Home--(watch till the end you will see Daniel give his testimomy)

Damn him.... for I am blessed!
He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:18-20
My name is written in heaven, Satan was kicked out of heaven...he is damned I am blessed! Satan however refuses to accept this truth, and he tries to make me feel his curse. He runs around attacking and deceiving, and often times we Christians just accept his tricks as our tragic reality. Somehow he places circumstances in front of us and we embrace them instead of rising up and taking the authority, that is our birthright, and overcoming him.
The Word is very clear...he is damned and I am blessed! I have all authority & POWER over him!!! I will not play along with him any longer, I will RISE above him and take my rightful place on TOP of his head!!! He will TAP OUT in Jesus Name!!!
Today I received the devastating news that someone very dear to me has cancer and it has spread all over his body, all this while another of my loved ones is having surgery to remove a malignant tumor. The very word malignant is defined as: evil in nature, influence or effect, and I HAVE POWER OVER ALL EVIL!!! I have decided to live up to this amazing truth, I will STAND in the gap and pray! If God said it, then it is so PERIOD!
Today I am WAGING WAR against the enemy, he will no longer try to pass the buck...he's the one who is cursed, not me!
We are not fighting for victory...We are fighting FROM victory!
From this day forward I will be at Christ's Church at 7AM & again at 8PM Mon-Fri to pray (if you would like to join me)! Prayer changes things I will take this to my Father because He promises to perfect those things which concern me (Psalm 138:8)...Look out satan I'm telling Daddy what you're up to...and I'm His favorite

I love you...that is all
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails...1 Cor 13:4-8
Love never fails...1 Cor 13:4-8
I love you...I say those 3 important words OFTEN and each time I say them I truly mean it. I LOVE you, I say it to my family, my friends, and often times to someone I have just met. I didn't know what love truly was until Sept. 26, 2003--the day I met God. I will never forget it, I felt the hate, anger, and hurt leave my heart as God's unconditional love filled me to the overflow.
Love had always been a source of pain to me. Every person I thought I loved either left me, betrayed me, or rejected me, so I hated love until I met Love...true Love...Agape Love. That was the day that my whole life changed. For the first time in my 28 years of life I was actually capable of loving someone...wow I love you became a beautiful thing.
God loves me...He gave His perfect love to me, just because. I knew at that moment I had found something that every person needed. I had found that "special thing" every person was searching for and I knew I had to give it away. The Word says "Freely you received, now freely you give." FREELY you GIVE!!!
When I say I love you, I love you and that is all....I don't say it so that you will give me something in return...I don't say it to manipulate...I don't say it for any other reason than...I love you and that is all.
God loved me when I was unloveable...it was that love that saved me, changed me, and opened my heart to love others. I received a revelation of love, and ability to love...so I love
I love you...that is all

Wasted time...Spent energy
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Col 3:1-3
Steve Jobs, the co founder of Apple Inc., the man behind the IPod, IPhone, & IPad--was a true visionary; he revolutionized the electronic world. He had a vision, and he focused solely on seeing it become a reality.
He once said, “Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. Some may see them as the crazy ones, we see greatness, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”---This has become my favorite quote of all times! I can completely relate to what he is saying, because I too am surrounded by square pegs who are changing the world... Non-conformist
He also said, "Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice." Steve Jobs was passionate and determined, I'm sure people called him crazy, but this wild man was a multi-millionaire by the time he was 25...who's crazy now right? He didn't listen to what everyone around him was saying he set his mind and things began to happen.
Too often I see people who are focused on what others are saying. They worry about what others may think of them, they say they don't care but the truth is it's all they can think about. Every outfit, every hairstyle, every action is weighed out and decided by what so-and-so might say....Wasted time and spent energy!
It's a shame that people meditate on what the world may say or think of them instead of meditating on who they really are; who God has created them to be. Steve Jobs had vision, vision beyond someone's opinion...Until you can see beyond the haze of public opinion you will never accomplish anything except maybe a slot in the who's who of society land. (If you're lucky)
Don't waste your time and spend your energy on the words and actions of others, find out what God says about you. Meditate on the impossibilities that are within your grasp through Him. Look beyond the ho-hum this world has to offer and grab a hold of the super-natural that God has for you. Desire more than the fleeting wealth of the world, God's inheritance is eternal! GET A VISION of who you really are.
Although Steve Jobs passed away his legacy will live on for generations to come...If you can't rise above public opinion and step outside the box, people will never really know who you are. Don't allow anyone to dampen your resolve. You have a phenomenal-inexplicable-powerful-world changing life waiting to be discovered when you step out and be who you are!!! There's really nothing great hidden in the crowd of everyday Joe's....
I believe there are people out that that are being looked over, because of who they are. I have something cooking in me...I HAVE A VISION....
Are you crazy enough to believe that you can change the world....I am

Christian Cutters--
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.--Romans 12:4-5
"Often known as "cutters", people who self-mutilate repetitively intentionally inflict bodily harm on themselves. When you ask a "cutter", "Doesn't that hurt?" the answer is usually no. A person who is actively self-mutilating often does not report feeling pain, but rather a sense of relief, release, calm, or satisfaction. It is particularly alarming that self-mutilation appears to have a "contagious" effect among peer groups"
Inflicting injury by mutilating their very own body brings them a sense of relief and satisfaction; it is an outlet for their pain. They are so full of pain that the only way to release some of the pressure is to cut open a member of their very own body. A cutter causes pain to relieve pain. Somehow it makes their heart feel better to hurt their body.
I want to show you a parrallel between "cutters" and gossips; self-mutilators and busy bodies. We are the body of Christ--when we tear one another down with our words or actions we are mutilating the body of Christ. Cutting His heart, destroying OURSELVES!!--Somehow in our hurt we "justify" our words as we spew out bitterness and pride. With each vicious word we are ripping the body of our Lord. He was crucified and beaten once, let's not rip His body open again, in order to release our pinned up anger and emotions.
Stop detroying the BODY!! The world is watching...they are lost and if we can't LOVE and RESPECT one another why would they want what we have...Just because you get your feelings hurt doesn't mean you have a GOOD reason to inflict pain and often times ETERNAL damage!
If you don't have something uplifting to say about a fellow Christian--(OR JUST A HUMAN BEING)...just keep your mouth shut--put your razor back in your pocket. And don't say, "Their not really a Christian anyway!" That's really not for you to judge-- Your opinion doesn't determine a persons Christianity, but your words showcase yours!!!

Zac....
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.--John 14:1-3
Hope...those verses give me hope; something to look forward to. I know that one day I will walk into my loved ones mansions and visit. I can just imagine the conversations we'll have, me, "Oh how beautiful your place is!" them, "Yes! Jesus designed it just for me!"
Today Oct. 7, 2011 I can't help but think about one loved one in particular, Zac Ainsworth. Four years ago he passed away and our lives were forever changed. That day shook me and changed the course of my life. I remember asking WHY?! and wondering "was there something more I could have done.." It was a turning point in my life.
That day I decided that I was going to give my entire life to reach the hurting...no matter what the cost. I couldn't bear to lose another! That day as I watched 26 people give their lives to Christ at Zac's funeral I knew that Zac gave his life to save his brothers and sisters. I know Zac was in heaven rejoicing with angels! He would do it all over again, even if his death only saved one!
Today as we get ready to open the doors of the Z.A.C Project (Zeal And Compassion for Women) I can't help but wonder just how many crowns Zac will lay at the feet of Jesus. There is 10 women, who are waiting for the doors to open...their lives will be forever changed. Zac's death brought life on the day of his funeral, and it continues to save lives! The number of lives saved through the Z.A.C project is innumerable...I can't wait to see Zac smiling and hear the number that his sacrifice saved!
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.--John 15:13
I love you Zac--I miss you terrible, but I thank you for becoming a lighthouse in a world of darkness!!
