The "least" of these....(part 1)

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’--Matt 25:41-45

Who are "the least of these"?

In Matt 25 when Jesus uses the term "least of these" He's not expressing His opinion of any one people or culture...He's trying to expose the human nature. He's showing the disciples (us) that somehow they have exalted themselves and excluded VERY important people because of opinion, social status and the stigma that comes along with "those people" It is these opinions that exclude a lot of people from the love of Christ...

If you want to know who the "least of these" are just examine your heart check your own prejudices...Is there a people that you believe are less because of their color, social status or sexual orientation? What do you think? Who deserves the love of Christ--that WE are called to give them...and who doesn't--

Right there...the ones that came into your mind....those are "the least of these"
